The Heart & Soul Of DesignD Interiors
We acknowledge the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people, the traditional custodians of the place now known as Vancouver, the land upon which we live, work, and learn. We recognize their deep and enduring relationship with the land, which has existed since time immemorial and will always continue.
There are endless decisions to make when it comes to planning your living space. With so many options available, it can be difficult to know where to get started. That’s why we place you at the heart of everything we do.
At DesignD Interiors, we believe that your space should colorfully reflect your family and the multifaceted lives you lead. Whether you are raising children (human or otherwise), work from home, or crave inspiration in the everyday, we care about understanding what lights you up so that we can reflect this unique spark in your space.
Because at the end of the day, our living spaces should foster connection and community. They reflect the people we are and how we move through the world—and that’s a beautiful thing.
DesignD continues to prioritize both people and the planet, working hard to meet each person’s individual needs while promoting the concept of sustainability—repurposing, reusing, and restoring whenever possible.
Meet Our Founder
Jessica Savarese | Principle Interior Designer, Founder
Jessica is inspired by people, places, and spaces. Passionate about travel, she lived in Italy, New York, Brussels, China, and Iceland prior to settling in Vancouver in 2016. She enjoys the experience of learning new things and adapting to different cultures, which deeply informs her approach to design.
Her professional journey began in Italy, where she completed a degree in Architecture. However, the highlight of her education was completing her Master’s project in China, where she worked with non-profits to create safe and low-cost living spaces with local materials like bamboo. This experience solidified her belief that everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, deserves access to a safe and well-designed living space.
Upon moving to Vancouver, she completed a diploma in Interior Design from La Salle College, thus beginning the next chapter of her journey.
Jessica takes an equal-parts creative and methodical approach to design. Curious by nature, she enjoys learning about new technologies and how to implement them into DesignD’s workflow to improve the client experience. In fact, she was one of the firms to use virtual reality to help her clients truly envision their spaces.
As a member of a local wine club since 2019, she likes to reminisce about her passion for traveling by pairing bottles with recipes from all over the world.
Jessica’s passion for designing innovative, efficient interiors is matched only by her love for connecting with others. Her ability to compassionately understand the needs and desires of her clients helps her bring their design vision to life, and then some. Jessica makes transparency and consistency top priorities in her work, making interior design projects feel easy-breezy for everyone involved.
