Another way men show the importance of cars in their lives is by constantly updating their cars. Until I met my husband I never realized all the different car parts that can be updated and the auto parts that can be altered and transform the whole look of the vehicle. At first we got our car, a Honda Civic at a great price and I was very happy about it, although my husband was not so thrilled. He dreams like many men of sports cars and in particular Lamborghini’s. He talked about transforming the car a lot but I couldn’t imagine it was possible. The first thing he changed was the horsepower since he wanted the car to move faster. After this I thought now he will be happier, but boy was I wrong, a month later he was talking about buying body kits and spoilers and it keeps on going.
‘Scrap my car’, just think about it and go for it. Scrapping a car has become a very easy process now-a-days and can be done, believe me, just by pressing a few buttons on your computer. No, I am not implying that the computer will scrap your car for you, but it will certainly facilitate the process of doing it, without making you run around from place to place.
The parts are hard to find, and are therefore expensive. Unless you engage in a treasure hunt and search for parts cars in used auto parts stores and auctions, stock parts may be a little expensive. The reason for this is simple: car companies don’t produce those parts anymore, so it would be considered rare by most people, much like a classic car.
Most auto salvage yards buy cars for cash either to crush for scrap metal or to dismantle and sell the parts off the cars. Depending on the yard, they may be more focused on pushing out mass amounts of volume of scrap metal, while other yards main priority may be to buy junk cars to dismantle and sell the parts.
Here’s what happens. Car makers use outside independent companies to help them design their parts. But after a certain time frame the actual manufacturers of these parts are allowed to sell them to other wholesale distributors for resale. This time they come with the manufacturer’s logo and not that of the car maker. So essentially, the identical part is now referred to as an OEM part.
As we continued, I saw a couple bikes turn off from the group and remembered hearing some riders say they weren’t going all the way back to the dealership. It was sad seeing the ride coming to an end. We rode on, and the cold wind slapped my face. The temperature started dropping as the day was ending, and I tucked my head down trying to use my husband to block the cold wind. Then afraid I was missing out on something, I randomly looked up and spotted a small plane overhead. I hurried to point it out to my husband, and he shouted back saying we weren’t far from home. Before long, we passed under the freeway, and the group veered to the right heading back to the dealership. We waved as we continued straight, away from them. It was our time to break off.
